Sta Irene and Agusan NHS finish CILC training

The five-day Computer and Internet Literacy Course (CILC) conducted to a select group of faculties and community members of Sta. Irene and Agusan del Sur National High School (ASNHS) was concluded on Friday, April 18 in their respective schools.

Mr. James Presbetiro and Mr. Noel Sieras of the NORMISIST facilitated the trainings to both schools. read more.

Caraga recipients accept air-conditioning units

Seven recipients of the iSchools project in Caraga received the two air-conditioning units intended for the computer laboratory on April 3-4 this year.

The delivery was confirmed by the school heads of all recipient schools through text messages to Mr. Jaymer Jayoma, the iSchools Project manager in Caraga.

AIR21, the partner of the iSchools project in the delivery of the air-conditioning units, completed the last drop in Rizal National High School in Bgy. Rizal, Surigao City on Saturday, April 4.

"These units were delivered just on time", Engr. Alexander T. Demetillo stressed. "The Computer and Internet Literacy Course (CILC) training is expected to start as scheduled the whole month of April. We have managed to borrow one air-conditioning unit for our training here in Bilay", Engr. Demetillo, the iSchools project lab manager in Caraga, discussed further while attending the closing ceremony of the CILC training in Bilay National High School in Bgy. Bilay, Butuan City.

Bilay completes CILC training

Eighteen faculties of Bilay National High School and members of the local community successfully completed the 5-day Computer and Internet Literacy Course conducted on March 31 to April 4 in Bgy. Bilay, Butuan City.

The trainees survived the rigorous training conducted by Mr. Ernesto Empig. Mr. Empig was the representative of the MSU-IIT as part of the exchange trainer program with NORMISIST.

Mr. Wilfredo Sulay, a barangay councilor of Bilay, Butuan City joined the training and expressed satisfaction over the new skills gained from the program. "This is my first time to hold a computer and rolled the mouse, I am thankful to the CICT and NORMISIST for bringing this training here in our locality", Mr. Sulay said during the closing program of the training who led all other local representatives in the training.

"We hope that this will not be the end and we look for further trainings that will help our faculty and students for the full implementation of this project come the new academic year", Mrs. Franciscora Avila stressed. Mrs. Avila is the school head of Bilay National High School.

The CILC training as of this writing is being conducted on two other recipient schools - Sta. Irene National High School in Sta. Irene, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur and in Agusan del Sur National High School in San Francisco, Agusan del Sur.
